Two more switches arrived for my home lab today. I purchased a lot of 2 Cisco Catalyst 3750 WS-C3750-48PS-S switches. I purchased these from an eBay seller for a total price (including tax and shipping) of $51.41.
I purchased these two switches because they are stackable and I already had the cables needed from the previous purchase.
I realize having five switches is over-kill for what I’ll need to study for the CCNA. But, part of my plan now is to move the two 2960 series switches to the church office where I work during the day and see how I can put them to use there.
That should be the end of my switch and router home lab purchases (at least for the foreseeable future). I just stacked all the devices up on my desk in front of me so I could take a picture and begin working with them.
Next I’ll be hunting garage sales and thrift stores for some more computers to add to the mix.
The grand total spent so far on my home lab is $210.26.
