Another device for my home lab arrived today. I purchased a Cisco Catalyst WS-C3750V2 48PS-S switch. It came with 2 stacking cables, the power cord, and a GLC-T SFP module. I purchased this from a seller on eBay for a total price (including tax and shipping) of $38.85.

This switch interested me because it can handle Cisco’s StackWise which allows two physical switches to be operated as a single logical virtual switch. I don’t know how to use that feature yet but from what I read it looks interesting and should be fun to play with.

Of course, the Cisco 2960 series switches I already have aren’t StackWise capable so I’ll have to purchase another switch with StackWise capabilities to test it out.
